There are tons of hotels to choose from, it’s a great honor and not easily obtained with all the competition. We were excited for a return visit in February 2019. It’s still as beautiful and well managed from when we were married here in October 2010.

The great perk about this place is the exclusive feeling of being away from everything, but you’re actually in the middle of all the main attractions. The 5 reasons we agree this place is number 1 comes down to exceeding expectations in accommodations, amenities, service, value, and location.

1. Wonderful Spacious Accommodations with Easy Parking

We recently returned to Villas of Grand Cypress Orlando for my birthday, and stayed for 5 nights. Since we used to live in Orlando, we have plenty of friends and family that are in the area. I wanted a place that had entertaining space and felt more like a nice home rather than a hotel. Their 1 Bedroom Villa was a perfect choice. It’s over 1000 square feet with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 8 person dining area, and private extended terrace overlooking a little lake and golf course- great for relaxation!

The parking is super easy like an apartment or townhouse complex where it’s just right outside the unit’s door. This is convenient for guests also and it’s free for them to park. The resort is gated but allows guests. All you need to do is let them know and they’ll put your invites on the list. The guard will call you when your guest has arrived and on the way to your room.

2. Exclusive Resort Amenities

The resort has wonderful amenities and feels more like a private retreat rather than a huge tourist trap like other Orlando hotels. We enjoyed the gym, pool, hiking, biking, and golfing around the 21 acre golf resort. The lush grounds are well kept with beautiful landscaping all throughout the place. Guests can enjoy complimentary bikes, golf equipment and cart, practice ranges, and full access to the gym.

3. World Class Service and Management

The service is superior! Everyone is nice and greets you with a smile. Even though it’s a good sized resort, you don’t feel like a number here. It’s more like a country club service that feels personalized and attentive. The room service was excellent. Everything we needed arrived promptly. This is probably the quickest room service we’ve ever experienced. All foods whether it was lunch or dinner arrived within 25 minutes. Requests for room items were within a few minutes.

They have a local number that always has a courteous person who answers the phone! I’ve never had a problem getting a direct representative at this resort. So many have an automated service these days with too many prompts getting to a human being. Some hotels don’t event pick up their phones at all. From the time I made a reservation until inquiries well after my trip, my calls were promptly answered and professionally taken care of.

The Management is world class. If you have any issues, they will try to resolve it as quickly as possible. The first villa we had was in Court 1, which is the closest to the clubhouse. They begin their grounds keeping as early as 7am in the morning. On vacation, we like to sleep in and appreciate a quiet morning. Unfortunately, I’m a lite sleeper and sensitive to noise. I let the manager know and a few hours later, he moved us further down the resort to a villa in Court 4 where the problem was solved. He then followed up the next day with a courteous note and a delicious fruit and cheese plate. The herb and garlic blue cheese was amazing!

4. Get 2 Resorts for The Price of One!

Get extended complimentary amenities! It’s a great value to stay here where you will also gain access to her sister property, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress located just down the street. If you’re in the mood for large themed resorts and don’t mind crowds, The Villas has free shuttle service back and forth between the properties. What’s great is they have a sign in their shuttle that doesn’t expect tips and says it’s a privilege to serve. Classy!

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has a fantastic huge pool with many waterfalls, caves, and bridges. It has a manmade beach where you can lay out or take a kayak on the lake. There are more hike & bike trails and a huge gym. Rock climb if you wish and eat at one of several good restaurants here too. For spa pampering, the Marilyn Monroe Spa is available at this location. I got a blow out for my special evening with the hubs and enjoyed the experience.

You get much more of a touristy feel at The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, but it’s a lot of fun to take your family or just take a break from the quiet setting The Villas offer. You can enjoy all of the amenities of both properties just by being a guest of either or.

5. Convenient Location to Main Attractions

The Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Resort and her sister property, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is conveniently located next to Disney. It’s so close, you can see the fireworks from your room at The Villas. Bonus!

Only about a 10 minute drive to any of the Disney parks, The resort is a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel and can provide complimentary shuttle to the main Ticket and Transportation Center for access to all the parks. If shopping is in your plans, they can drop you off and pick you up at Disney Springs and the local Crossroads Shopping Center and Restaurants. The transportation alone is super convenient to not have to worry about the cumbersome parking at these highly trafficked attractions.

If you’re in Orlando for more than Disney parks, Seaworld is less than 15 mins. away and Universal Studios is about a 20 mins. drive. If you’re a nature lover and wanna get away from the crowds, The Tibet-Nature Preserve is only a few minutes away from the resort. Whatever you’d like to do, the location is prime to get you access to it all!

We chose to be married at The Villas of Grand Cypress Orlando in October 2010 for these 5 reasons of location, accommodations, service, value, and amenities for our guests. We also chose it for the romantic and wedding-genic worthy grounds to take pics! Guests can easily find accommodations to their liking and budget between the 2 properties. We had about a hundred family and friends just from out of state alone that attended our event and each family more than enjoyed their stay. Most extending it to their own vacation.

Spring and Fall are preferred seasons for Weddings in Orlando before and after the scorching hot Summers that plague the Sunshine State.
